Kabar itu disampaikan situs resmi MotoGP, Senin (18/9/2023). Morbidelli akan menemani Jorge Martin di Pramac Ducati untuk musim MotoGP 2024.
“Franco Morbidelli telah menandatangani perjanjian dengan Ducati yang akan membuat pebalap asal Roma itu bergabung dengan Tim Balap Pramac untuk musim 2024 bersama Jorge Martin, keduanya mengendarai Desmosedici GP24,” begitu isi pernyataan resmi MotoGP.

Franco Morbidelli telah kehilangan posisi di tim Monster Energy Yamaha. Pabrikan asal Jepang itu merekrut Alex Rins untuk mendampingi Fabio Quartararo musim depan.
Morbidelli sudah menggeber motor Yamaha sejak 2019. Awalnya dia membela tim satelit Petronas Yamaha SRT selama dua musim dan sukses menjadi runner-up MotoGP 2020.
Pada 2021, Morbidelli promosi ke tim pabrikan Monster Energy Yamaha. Salah satu murid Valentino Rossi ini belum mampu kembali menunjukkan performa oke seperti tahun 2020.
